It’s so annoying when we have a Disney princess line that actually includes princess of color and we see bugged eye freak stans be like “WhERe’S RApUnzEL?” SHEIN Ariel has so much merchandise already while Disney refuses to do the give their princesses of color the same opportunity. Even Moana, whose movie is in the same category of popularity as frozen doesn’t have nearly as much merchandise as that bugged eyed freak! Yet every single time Disney chooses to showcase underrepresented princesses in a line, rapunzel stans act like they never get any content and thinks that Ariel clone is underrated! It’s getting on my last nerve!

I didn't even watch "WISH" yet because in my country it will only be available at january, but people are saying it's a bad cliche so I probably won't watch at the cinema.
The thing is, even though I am a hopeless romantic, not everything has to have romance. There are princess who are perfectly fine without a prince, like Mirabel, Elsa, Merida, Moana and Raya(I do kinda like the idea of Raya with a girl, just not Namaari). But we were so robbed of seeing Asha and the star boy(he is literally a staR so I don't doubt Disney would call him StaN or something like that, so his name is Stan from now on, I am gonna call him like that, is easier than star boy). Asha and Stan had the potential to be the next Tianaveen and Rapunzel&Eugene (I don't know their ship name). The concept arts are the cutest thing I have ever seen. Also "At All Costs" (bop) would have been a love song between the two!!! Them singing it man. The pain I will feel when I don't see them passionately sing it, very "I see the light" coded, in the actual movie. Somehow, now is not feminist for a strong female character to have a male partner by her side. Like...This doesn't make sense! You can be a strong female character and have a man at the same time! Have y'all forgotten Mulan and Shang? Anna and Kristoff? Ariel and Eric? Jasmine and Aladdin? (There are more examples and I could go on all day, but you got what I meant already) I hate Disney for throwing good ideas at the trash and playing safe just for money(like Hobie Brown/Spider-Punk said "it's a metaphor for capitalism"). And as the guy looked blonde with blue/green eyes in the arts I have seen, and Asha is a black latina, they lost the opportunity of having a biracial couple ACTUALLY DONE RIGHT (Pocahontas and John Smith don't count, he is a collonizer with the most common name in the world, she deserves so much better). Like, if the thing is show how inclusive you are by having a black latina female protagonist for little girls to see and feel represented in a good way, you could have increased that feeling by making someone fall in love for her. Little girls would feel like they are beautiful and desired/desireable in a positive way and that they worthy of being loved and love and be with whoever they want to be with, even someone who has a different skin color.
I am also mad because we could have seen Disney's first evil villain COUPLE with King Magnifico and his wife, the queen(still don't know her name, sorry). Can't you guys imagine the HITS, THE FIRST PLACE OF BILLBOARD HOT 100 WORTHY songs, they would proportionate us? Even if only one song, it would be enough for me. But someone thought having a female villain would be anti-feminist and they discarded an original and authentic idea, which is what Disney built its empire on the first place. Come on Disney minorities don't want to be portrayed as those unrealistic superior beings, they want to be portrayed as real human beings with emotions, struggles, qualities and flaws. Having an iconic female villain like you guys always had(like Maleficent, Cruella De Vil, Ursula, Mother Gothel, Lady Tremaine, etc) and set her up with an iconic male villain(like Gaston, Doctor Facilier, Shan Yu, Jafar, Hans, etc) it would have been top notch, god tier. King Magnifico and the queen could have been like the Gomez and Morticia of evil. You could address so many topics by it. Like the kingdom being ruled by evil would have been a great social critic of some politicians out there, for example. And we could have had an iconic final boss battle between Asha and Stan VS Magnifico and the queen.
Anyway, what I mean by this is that if someone has fanarts or just ANY CONTENT, of Asha and Stan, tag me, reblog this or comment, I don't care, just warn me, because they are my new obsession. I will also write a fanfic about this movie with these ideas, but only after I have watched the movie so until them, please feed my hyperfixation in Stasha (Star boy/Stan×Asha), I'm begging y'all

How about: why do you stan the celestial stones/starshard?
Ok, so! There were three major reasons I got into the Tangled Fandom. 1. Varian! 2. The Brotherhood! 3. The Sundrop & the Moonstone! Here are the main points as to why I stan the celestial stones!
I, oh course, love magic and galaxy things, so combining these two elements obvious made me intrigued. I was really excited to see the show include the Moonstone, given we already had the Sundrop, and it helped created these two very interesting artifacts to tie into the story. True opposites with intriguing powers of life and death. The story potential they have is amazing, and it’s great to see what others come up with as their own ideas surrounding both stones. Plus, in the show, you don’t get a lot of lore behind them, as they are treated as mysterious things of power that clearly don’t belong to earth, which leaves a lot open for the interpretation of the fans, including me! ✨

Out of the two, the Moonstone is my favourite. The reason are probably obvious, as the colour blue is my favourite, I prefer night over day, and even my username as the word moon in it. But something about is so intriguing to watch. The fact it has powers of death was something I wasn’t exactly expecting, because I thought a Disney kid show wouldn’t do something like the decay incantation, which is amazing! It’s also one of the few scenes I watched before ever getting into the series. And let me tell ya, seeing Rapunzel get black hair and eyes, with that chilling song, it helped sell me on the series. Its ties to the Dark Kingdom and the brotherhood also caught my attention, and the lore behind the Moonstone is very interesting. Being this unstoppable force that humans can not control, it adds a very interesting element to the story. But what I really love is why it does all of this, to get back with the Sundrop. Cause in most stories I’ve seen that involve beings or objects with the sun and moon, they tend to be enemies of some kind, or have this rivalry to it. But we don’t get that with them (Not counting Rapunzel or Cassandra’s fight) as all the Moonstone wants is to protect the Sundrop and reunite with it, which just seems really sweet to me.

What they can do to people, who are their hosts, is very interesting as well, and it was something I wish we got to see more of, how their connect with Rapunzel, Cass or even Zhan Tiri could play out or affect those people. There’s so much more to these two stones that there are so many ideas you can come up with. Which, of course, is how I came up with my Sentient Stone AU. I had seen concepts others made of the two stones being alive, mostly as gods or strange spirits, and so I went my own route as magical alien-like creatures, who are very different from humans. I gave them personalities, looks, traits and stories because I wanted to see more of them, to explore the many ideas that surround them, based on hints or subtle moments I picked up. I’m also the kind of person who wants to give a reason behind certain story moments. Like why did Rapunzel have those strange dreams back in season 1? Why did the Moonstone crack during the fight between Rapunzel and Cass if both stones are meant to be equal? What relationship do the stones have with each other and their hosts? Which all lead into a spiral of creating that AU, which I’m proud of and are happy to see that others enjoy it too. It’s all something a lot of us can debate and share ideas with, which bridges a connection between members of the fandom which I’ve always loved.

And of course, there is the Starshard. To me, it shows a lot of my enjoyment of the series and what I see with it, that being the Tangled The Series has a lot of potentials, especially with the Celestial Stones and Varian. Starshard!Varian was my first ever piece to the Tangled fandom, and it was amazing to see how much people loved it. I originally did it because I saw all these other people come up with ideas about Varian’s hair stripe, and I wanted to join in. Now it’s a symbol of my placement in this fandom, and where it began for me. Without it, I probably wouldn’t have made friends with the special people on the group chats I’m in, would never have made Stars In My Eyes, which was the first-ever fanfiction I completed, and would have never delved that far into my Sentient Stone AU. I tried my best to make the Starshard a different idea, making it anti-magic, an artificial stone made by Demantius, and tying it into a story about Varian’s personal journey. I will admit I was initially nervous to post such a thing, and thought might not like it. But no, people liked it and I’m proud to have made such a thing. And I thank all you liked, left a comment or talked to me about the idea, because it helps make me feel like I am a part of this interesting fandom.

This will be a loooong post. I'm just going to warn you it's anti Cassunzel, the OT3 and Cassandra as a character. I also have some negative to say about Cassandra stans in general and Chris. You've been warned. Please don't read further if you just want to make me think differently about these, because it won't work.
Where do I even begin? I always disliked Cassandra since the beggining because of the subtle ways she acted as Gothel and reminded me of a toxic ex-friend. She always picked on Eugene and even if he always strikes back, as an Eugene fan, I agree that he uses humor as a way to hide pain, as I've personally done before. At the same time, she came across as entitled to protect Rapunzel and get Eugene out of the way. I understand everyone did not trust him because of his criminal past and it makes sense, but Cassandra did not let it slide even in season two. Eugene died for Rapunzel's freedom and suddently this new character we know nothing about is entitled to pick on him every time she could. How could I want to get to know her after that? First impressions matter more than I'd like, so yes. She sabotaged Rapunzel in Challenge of the Brave and I have never forgiven her for that. I've never changed my opinion on her and I felt like I had nobody to talk to about my dislike of her because a big part of the fandom loves her. Then season 3 came in and I began strongly hating Cassandra. She kidnapped and attempted murder multiple times and she did not even think of herself as the villan? Before you start with the "she was manipulated by Zhan Tiri" of course she was. But these were her actions. That she faced no consequences for so I just headcanon she was exiled from Corona anyway. And Rapunzel just not giving up on her. Hey kids, pin after your friends even if they backstabbed you and tried to hurt you and your loved ones! Yay, friendship! I'm not going further, the season 3 main plot was just messy and that I hope we can all agree.
Let's move on to ships and make some people mad we hate their OTP. I ship New Dream and just that from this show. Nothing more, nothing less. Now, I've noticed Cassunzel and the OT3 are quite popular in the fandom. I personally try to scroll past posts about those, but sometimes I don't. I'll tell you my problem with these two ships. First, Cassandra is toxic. There, I said it. At least in my perspective, toxic people are not enheretly bad. The toxic ex-friend I've mentioned is not a bad person, but she has to work with her issues. Same with Cassandra. She is not ready for any kind of relationship, platonic or romantic before she works on herself. Isn't that what is ending is about? Anyway, both Rapunzel and Eugene sister-zoned her so yeah. To make it clear, I hate how Gothel is important. She should have been forgotten. But I think calling them sisters could have been done in a way that doesn't imply Rapunzel is Gothel's daughter. Because she's not. But Rapunzel loves Cassandra as a sister and that's canon. Eugene also Cassandra as a sister and that's canon. Cassandra may or may not have a crush on Rapunzel, but it's canon is doesn't go anywhere, as Varian's crush on Cassandra or Lance's crush on Adira. Which explains why they are not an OT3. Or why there's no Cassunzel. They are found family, not lovers and that's canon. Anyway, I'll just stick with the ship which it's tenth aniversary of being canon is coming up :)
Now, Cassandra fans. I hate generalising a group of people, but many of those that I came across were incredibly offended and rude when you said their favourite isn't the second coming of Christ. Insulting people is not the way to go? It makes you seem childish, and I say that as a young teen. I'm the young one here and I understand calling people with different opinions that yours "cunts" is not ok in any way, shape or form. Good. Now, I hate when some of them- again some, not all- don't realize Cassandra is the villan??? And ignore that the show -**Chris**- push Eugene back for Cassandra and when he gets the tinniest bit of something, they wish it was Cassandra's (cue the dark prince reveal, the new position as the captain of the guards). Some of them also hate Varian because everyone inserts him in everything and only thinks about him?? Have you seen yourself? You. Do. The. Same. With. Cassandra. And you tell me Varian's a minor character and a plot device? Then, guess what, your favourite is a plot device. Moving on.
The worst thing some of them do is, in fact, the claim that you are sexist and homophobic if you don't worship Cassandra? No. I may take this too personally, but as someone who has a 90% homophobic family I've tried all my short life to have an open mind and spread understanding. And you tell me all my eforts are in vain because I don't like Cassandra? Are you kidding? I don't hate her because of that, I've stated my reasons. Using that insult feels cheap and almost hateful even. Ugh. As a female, I love strong girls and women, it's not a reason to hate Cassandra.
The last subject I want to rant about is Chris. @zhantiri made a great post on that subject and I agree completely check out her blog! I want to add that I understand why Chris is biased towards Cassandra: he created her, it makes sense. But what I wish happened was it wasn't painfully obvious he favored her over everyone else. Movie fans aka me came for Eugene and Rapunzel and their adventures and instead we got Rapunzel and Cassandra's while Eugene was there. He wasn't as important because reasons? By the third season, it felt as Cassandra was the protagonist and Rapunzel and Eugene were not even close in importance? That's not how things should have been handled. Also, you can't say you give Rapunzel a female best friend and pat yourself on the back for that then have said friend betray her. This show should have been about the mothers not the fathers but since Chris is a father, that's what we got. Rapunzel and Cassandra's friendship needed better writing, more exactly female writers. Chris knew he caused the divide between Varian and Cassandra fans.....basically Cassandra fans and the rest of the fandom. You should bring your fandom together, not divide it? Cassandra's arc and redemption was so bad and they focused on it so much, they forgot about the other characters. Lance deserved so much more but he was the comic relief and in the end adopted the girls and that's it? They done nothing with Eugene's heritage expect develop a relationship with his dad and that's it?And you tell me we have no hope for Eugene's mother? Not even Varian's? But now Cassandra's biological father has a story? She already has a father and her biological father was not even mentioned one time! Ariana had so little screen time but you throught about Cassandra's father? So now Cassandra is the main character since everything is about her nowadays? Ok. I understand people want more content, but first: it's probably not going to happen because that idea with Varian was refused. He's a series-only character. Guess what, same with Cassandra! I hear Chris doesn't work for Disney anymore and I doubt he would go back. Also people of the crew moved on to new projects so I wonder who's gonna do it now?

Wow, so being active and adventuring is a boy thing now? I guess Ariel and Belle are tomboys too since they love doing that in their movie as well.
The fact she implies that doing haircare is something bad like that isn’t basic hygiene. She still needs to do that with that ugly ass bob at end as well. Yeah, dollar general evil queen did have some say in how rapunzel felt about it. However, no where in the movie did rapunzel say anything negative about her long hair. In fact, she can do a lot of stuff with her hair and is pretty much her third arm.
I also “love” how she implies that rapunzel doing things like painting, candle making and all that other “girly” stuff was because she was forced to and not because she enjoyed doing it (sexist much?)... She does realize that there are other “boyish” activities to do in doors, right? Not only that but those things aren’t necessarily “girly” activities (painting was seen as a hobby for men historically!). Anyone can have fun doing those activities.
“Kicking the hell out of those guys!” You mean the scene where she was swinging her flying pan at one thug who wasn’t fazed by it? Even after she got her one shot at one of the thugs and yelled at them, she cowered when one of them were coming up to her. She wasn’t ready to fight at all like the stan above claims. Also, in that water scene she referenced above begins with rapunzel handing her flying pan to Flynn to fight and running away. She was on the sidelines watching Flynn fight with her own weapon and was only there to be his support sidekick. But I guess that doesn’t matter that she didn’t do anything because she such a tomboy lol.
That “she enjoys the wilderness” thing is stupid. Going by that logic, every Disney princess loves it. Snow White talks with animals, Ariel rolls around in sand, Belle runs out into the hills like she’s in the sound of music and Aurora walks around barefoot with animals. Guess their tomboys too. Another thing, rapunzel doesn’t even roll around in the dirt like the comment above claims. She lays on the grass and sings like a old school Disney princess.

How the heck is rapunzel even a tomboy? I know her stans love projecting random traits on to her with no proof but this is just so weird. She’s literally one of the most girliest princesses in the lineup and her design shows it (she doesn’t wear that ugly bootleg Barbie as rapunzel dress for nothing). She was also made to look and act like that for the Disney princess franchise.
Ariel is more of a tomboy than she is and that’s saying something.

I know I mentioned this before in another post but I can’t get over how stupid this is. Isolating a child and not giving her proper social contact with other people IS abuse! Elsa and Anna were both abused by their parents.
They formed different personalities because their parents treated them differently from each other. Elsa almost killed her sister and felt so bad about it that she went along with her dad idea to isolate her. He also taught her to fear her powers and to be overly cautious. Meanwhile, Anna was shown to not have the same amount of attention from her parents as Elsa did. Anna was alone and had no one to talk to. She wasn’t taught to be weary or caution like Elsa was and it shows in the movie.
This rapunzel stan is just trashing Anna just so she can prop up that bugged eye freak. Therefore she’s intentionally ignoring why Anna’s character is the way she is. It’s also very insulting to say that Anna wasn’t abused when she was! It’s no surprise that people are dragging her over twitter for this post.

Maybe because Anna has flaws, makes mistakes in her movie and she wasn’t meant to be a self insert like rapunzel was? Who’s surprised that the bland character that people heavily project to and have no flaws is more liked than a real character?
Not only do rapunzel stans cry over Elsa and trash her character because she’s way more popular than their fav, they also do the same thing to Anna as well. Won’t change the fact that they are both iconic characters with a beloved movie that is in the top ten on streaming platforms. Can’t say the same for their favs movie. Also, you can tell that they are salty about Anna being more popular of the two here because she says that Anna isn’t a beloved character lol. Rapunzel stans love to lie to themselves.
Edit: I just read the rest of this dumbass thread because people are jumping her saying that she watched frozen with her eyes closed (they were right. After all, tangled stans do it with their own fav movie). Outside of the typical “dollar store Ariel is the best because I can project random things onto and she has no flaws while I can’t with the rest of the princesses” shit rapunzel stans like to use, this dummy said something else that pissed me and others off. She said that Anna wasn’t abused while Elsa was! Are you fucking kidding me? Anna was! She was neglected by her parents, wasn’t allowed to go anywhere outside the palace and she had no one to talk to! This is abuse. Also, this is exactly why Anna acts the way she does! She ready to get married to the first guy who treats her nicely because she’s so desperate to be loved and have a friend. It’s obvious going by the movie but hey, what do I expect from a girl who thinks that a bland self interest that isn’t at all affected by her upbringing is a good character.

It’s so interesting how rapunzel stans make shit up about her or the movie just to trash Anna lol. They do know that it makes rapunzel look bad, right?
Rapunzel was no way determined to get what she wanted. If she was then she wouldn’t have needed Flynn to come and inspired her to make the move. Also, Flynn didn’t have to gain rapunzel’s trust. She trusted the guy who broke into her house from jump like a dumbass. That’s actually way more dangerous than going into the world alone. After all Flynn literally led her to a bar filled with criminals and tried to scare her into going back. That’s dumber than what Anna did in the movie
Anna left on her own because she’s had the agency to do so, unlike rapunzel. She was also smart enough to trusted a prince who appeared way more trust worthy than a thief who broke into her house.
Also, what would it take for Anna haters to understand that Anna was sheltered and was desperate for love? That’s why she trusted Hans and was so ready to get married to him. That’s the fucking point of her whole character! A five year old could understand this. But I guess rapunzel stans can’t because Anna is an actual character, not a blank slate to project traits onto like great value Ariel.
Edit: I didn’t notice this before but the op makes rapunzel look like the weaker character of the two. She notes that Anna left on her own while rapunzel needed to depend on someone to get to her goal. lol, thanks for proving that rapunzel has no kind of agency in her movie like anna does.

Yeah, the whole racism regarding a fan casting of an actress of color just made me hate the Disney version of the fairy tale even more.
Fuck all the unnecessary shit Disney added in the fairy tale like the dumb flower that makes blonde hair magical, the “I want to be young and pretty for no reason” as a motivation like it’s the 50s and the the fact that the villain is even more of a offensive antisemitic caricature than the fairy tale ever was. It also gave birth to the worst and most annoying fandom known to man. They are just as bad and racist as swifties and mcu Wanda stans! Not hard to see why as the movie appeals to their trash ass ideals.
Tangled was a fucking mistake, Disney should have never adapted rapunzel and it should have never been released in 2010.

“For some reason, Anna annoyed me but rapunzel didn’t. It’s weird because they have similar characteristics. I wonder why I feel like that?”
Probably because Anna is an actual character with flaws while dollar store Ariel isn’t. Hope that helps.

Anyone noticed that tangled stans trash and discredit other Disney abuse victims? They talk trash about Snow White and Cinderella. They say awful things like that they are weak and stupid. Same thing with Anna and Elsa. These stans say that they weren’t abused and that they could have left the kingdom anytime they wanted.
Yet, if you talk shit about rapunzel, they get angry and accuse you of hating real life abuse victims or not understanding them. Heck, you can just talk about her bland personality or how gothel is a three way walking stereotype and they will still say this. A bunch of hypocrites.

I watched the transformation sequences for the winx reboot and I saw some rapunzel stans saying that flora was turned into rapunzel because her transformation involved aerial gymnastics (which is ironic considering I’ve never seen rapunzel do that in her movie. All she did was swing around on her hair) and flora had flowers in her hair.
I guess according to rapunzel stans, a character doing aerial gymnastics and having flowers in their hair is “rapunzel coded” now…
I’m so sick of these stans. They think that Disney’s rapunzel invented every single thing in cgi animation because they barely watch anything other than that fucking movie.

“But but but if rapunzel was turned into a woman of color, it would be taking away blonde hair representation..”
SHE ISNT EVEN A REAL BLONDE!! DID YOU GUYS EVEN WATCH THE FUCKING MOVIE? SHE GOT HER BLONDE HAIR BECAUSE OF SOME STUPID FLOWER AND HAS NATURALLY BROWN HAIR!!! ANYONE OF ANY RACE CAN GET THAT BLONDE HAIR BECAUSE ITS FROM A DUMB MAGICAL FLOWER!! THIS STUPID ASS COMMENT WOULD MAKE SENSE IN THE “ORIGINAL” FAIRY TALE WHERE THERE ISNT A STUPID MAGIC FLOWER AND WHERE HER NAME “RAPUNZEL” MAKES SENSE BUT IT DOESNT IN THE DISNEY VERSION WHERE SHE GETS HER BLONDE HAIR FROM A STUPID FLOWER!!!
